I am fascinated by the marks we make on the world and the poetry that arises as they disintegrate. My work is a kind of recycling of perception, a way to be in the world without turning away from the devastation that’s all around us. My passion is stalking urban landscapes to find poetry in the street, in cracked walls and rotting signs, in the cathedral-like spaces of abandoned buildings.
Two examples of open-ended art photography series are Anthropocene prophecy and Evidence of humanity. Some of these images featured in my exhibition at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in France, where I was the artist representing the Isle of Man in 2018. Anthropocene prophecy forms a visual thread running through the Climate Minds anthology which responds to the psychological impacts of climate breakdown. I share some of my images on Instagram.
Limited edition prints available. Please get in touch for details.
